Our Team

Dr. Tony Lambert serves as Lead Pastor at Picayune First Baptist Church. He preaches most Sunday Worship Services, leads our pastoral staff, and shepherds our congregation through teaching, counseling, and prayer.

Tommy Upton serves as Pastor with Oversight of Administration at Picayune First Baptist Church. He partners with the Lead Pastor and pastoral staff on the operational, financial, and strategic side of church life — keeping our day-to-day systems aligned with the ministry vision.

Dr. Andrew Wilson serves as Pastor with Oversight of Congregational Care and Connection. He oversees our adult Sunday Bible Fellowship classes, member care, and the ministry of welcoming and connecting visitors and new members into the life of the church.

Connely Dale serves as Pastor with Oversight of Worship and Young Adults. He leads our congregational worship, oversees our music ministry, and shepherds the young adult's ministry.

Drew Esslinger serves as Pastor with Oversight of the Next Generation Ministries, leading our Students Ministry and partnering across our ministries to disciple every generation in our church family.

Adam Blair serves as Pastor of Home Connections. He coordinates our home-based gatherings — building the kind of friendships that last beyond a Sunday hour.

Sydney Gere serves as Children's Minister at FBC Picayune. She leads our nursery-through-5th-grade ministries — Sunday Bible Fellowship, Children's Church, Extended Session, HalfTime Kids and VBS.

Laurie Bounds serves as Director of the WEE School — our preschool program serving children ages 2 through 4 from September through May. She leads our WEE School staff, oversees enrollment and curriculum, and walks alongside WEE School families across Picayune and Pearl River County.

Tammy Dragon serves as Financial Administrator at FBC Picayune. She oversees the church's bookkeeping, payroll, contributions, and budget reporting in partnership with our pastoral staff and finance committee.

Tabitha Tate serves as Administrative Assistant at FBC Picayune. She is typically the first voice on the phone when you call the church office and the first email in your inbox when you reach out — coordinating staff calendars, member communication, and the day-to-day life of our church office.

Chris Kersey serves as Pastor's Executive Assistant at FBC Picayune. He supports the Lead Pastor's calendar, communication, and the office work that keeps our pastoral team focused on shepherding the congregation.

Kevin Vice serves as Maintenance Supervisor at FBC Picayune. He keeps the sanctuary, classrooms, WEE School wing, and grounds at 401 Goodyear Blvd ready every Sunday and every weekday — quietly serving our congregation, WEE School families, and every guest who walks through our doors. > Bio is a launch placeholder. Frank Persick serves as Facilities Manager at FBC Picayune. He oversees the buildings and grounds at 401 Goodyear Blvd — coordinating safety, maintenance projects, weddings, funerals, mission-team hosting, and every event that uses our space across the year.
